On the West Side of Grand Rapids, community isn’t just a concept – it’s a way of life.  Few organizations embody that spirit more fully than The Other Way Ministries.  For 58 years, this neighborhood-rooted nonprofit has been walking alongside us as neighbors to build stability, connection, and opportunity.  Their story is woven deeply into the fabric of the West Side, and their partnership with local institutions like Meijer and Bridge Street Market shows what can happen when a community truly invests in itself.

Since opening our doors in 2018, Bridge Street Market has partnered with hundreds of local vendors. Seven years later, we're proud to highlight seven who've been with us from the very beginning.

ArtPrize season is here, and Bridge Street Market is proud to showcase two incredible submissions that are sure to spark conversation during your next shopping trip. Hanging proudly in our space are works by Peggy Slattery and Broderick Bebout – two artists whose creativity and passion have made them familiar faces in the Art Prize community.  

Furniture City Creamery takes handcrafting quality ice cream seriously – everything is made completely from scratch using simple, high-quality ingredients.   Their process is rooted in science and experience, and an incredible amount of effort is put into each batch. 

Maneeka started Cakes by the Jar to honor her late aunt, who was always the one to bring dessert to Sunday’s family dinners.  This tradition of love and togetherness is baked into every jar, making each treat a tribute to her aunt's memory.
